Risk Factors for Heart Attack
Ever wondered who is at increased risk for heart attack? Well, it all depends on risk factors for heart attacks. So some risk factors could cause a heart attack and let me say that some risk factors can be voided, while others can not.
In short, who is at increased risk for heart attack? how do you know if you have some risk factors for heart attack? Heart attack risk factors (major ones only)
- Tobacco, smoking .. (a real reason behind most diseases)
- A high blood pressure
- Inactivity
- A high percentage of sugar in blood
- Over-weight
- Age older than 45
Smoking. a habit that we can really control. Reduce your smoking, or quit it at all. Smoking increases risk for heart attack sharply.
A high blood pressure can be controlled by asking your expert, some drugs will help you have stable blood pressure. Risk three, inactivity, something that YOU can control as well. I suggest that you have to do some activity every day, more than your average activity. (e.g. Walking for 45min or 1hour in the sun). A high percentage of sugar in blood could be controlled as well, if given medicals and had a well-prepared regime for your health.
It is also very recommended to reduce your extra weight. Weight, or over-weighted people have increased risk factors, not only for heart attacks, but for many diseases. As you can see so far, all noted risk factors which cause heart attacks can be voided and controlled. But the last major risk factor, age, is something really beyond our control. As age advances, you are at increased risk for a disease. (Generally) But let me re-address that a healthy person, with an average “weight”, and nonsmoker will probably be at lesser risk degree than another person who is all-time smoker, or having a lot of extra weight. I hope that this article covered “basically” major risk factors for heart attacks / diseases.
